Enjoy a gourmet boxed lunch, learn how illiteracy is impacting our communities, and find out how Read Muskegon is working to create change. When over 20,000 adults in our county are functionally illiterate and over half of our 3rd graders read below grade level, it can be difficult to know where to start and how to make a meaningful impact. For over 15 years, Read Muskegon has been working to break the cycle of generational illiteracy in Muskegon County. This Fall, we are inviting the community to learn more about how they can help advance this work by joining us at the Muskegon Famers Market for Lunch for Literacy. In order to provide a safe and comfortable experience for our guests, we will be hosting two smaller one-hour lunch sessions with fewer guests per table. A selection of boxed lunches will be available to eat during the event or to take with you and enjoy later. All tables will be sanitized and linens replaced between sessions.
