Amazing Nanny Available after Six Years with our Family Our wonderful nanny Yanira Torres will be available to work with a new family in late September / early October. She has been with our family for over six years starting when our older son was 18 months and has been with our youngest since infancy. We truly love her and trust her unequivocally. She is like a member of our family and we feel so lucky to have had her as a partner through our kids' early years. We are only moving on because both our kids are now in elementary school. Yanira is experienced, patient, fun-loving (hearing her and my little one break into laughter warms my heart), provides appropriate boundaries, and is excellent at navigating little one’s ups and downs in a socio-emotionally appropriate way. She prioritizes their safety and will always speak up if there is something that can be done differently or better. We would routinely get texts or comments from friends in the neighborhood saying that they happened to see Yanira with the kids at the park and were struck by how responsible and responsive she was (e.g., focused on them, not distracted, interacting with them in nurturing and developmentally appropriate ways). She would advocate for them and was great at giving us important information we needed whether it was something that happened at school or an observation about how. Both my husband and I work full time and often travel for work, so we especially appreciate how reliable she is (always on time, rarely ever missed a day in six years) and willing to work with us if we had an unexpected long day or early start. She is a good communicator and is constructive and professional in her comments whether related to the kids or her needs. More information: She has almost 20 years experience nannying for families in the bay area She knows the city well and is great at leveraging local resources (multiple parks, rec centers, randall museum, zoo, academy of sciences, etc.) She can drive and has her own car (she is a safe, reliable driver and knows the city well) She is a native Spanish speaker and also speaks English well (we had her speak primarily Spanish with our kids) She is COVID vaccinated She is looking for: Full Time (at least 40 hours a week) Prefers working with an infant / young toddler Target neighborhoods: Mission, Noe Valley, Bernal Heights, Glen Park Please contact me and let me know if you want to chat with me or Yanira directly and I can share the appropriate contact information.
