An open letter from Deputy Mayor Laurie Taf Jackson to the community: It is with a heavy heart that I must withdraw from the upcoming borough elections. The reasons for withdrawing my run for Burgess are personal and after discussing it with my family, I feel this is what's best for me and my family. It's been a sincere honor and privilege to serve this great community over the last 10 years. I would like to thank my family, friends and residents who have supported me throughout my tenure. Though I will miss serving in the capacity of Deputy Mayor, I will continue to serve this great community in my own way and be a true supporter in moving Naugatuck forward.
