GAGES LAKE, IL — A Gages Lake man has been arrested again for allegations that he robbed a monastery in Third Lake. David Uzelac, 27, of the 33600 block of North Evergreen Drive, Gages Lake, was spotted by detectives entering the monastery in the 35200 block of North Grand Avenue in Third Lake on Thursday, authorities say. He is accused of stealing money from inside a donation box and then left quickly. Uzelac was not supposed to enter the monastery since he's accused of burglarizing it in the past, according to a news release from the Lake County Sheriff's Office. Detectives apprehended Uzelac in the area of Georgetown Lane and Williamsburg Drive in Waukegan. He is charged with burglary, violations of bail bond, theft, criminal trespassing to a building and driving while license revoked. He remains behind bars at the Lake County Jail as he awaits an initial court appearance.
