Description
This is Coco Chanel, she was rescued from the streets (or an apartment complex) of Tijuana Mexico just about 8 weeks ago. Coco came to us very thin, malnourished & with five 6 day old kittens (Coco Chanel & her perfume babies). We were told that the manager of the apartments where she was being fed by a Good Samaritan & subsequently gave birth, wanted her & the newborns gone & was planning on laying out poisoned food so, needless to say, we went & picked them up immediately. Anyway, Coco was sweet & friendly from the start & has only gotten better with time, although she does have some battle scars on either side of her face. She is such a good girl & was a fantastic momma cat, she even fostered a few orphaned kittens (as we do rescues) along with her own. Her kittens turned 2 months old almost a week ago & have now each found their forever homes. It’s now Coco’s turn, as even though we would love for her to stay with us forever, we simply have too many pets of our own & at any given time, we foster others & simply don’t have the means to keep her long term. Coco is just finishing nursing the kittens & even though her body condition & hair are both much better than when she 1st came to us… she could definitely still use some extra groceries & treats to help her regain her beautiful figure. She also will be due for her rabies vaccine & to be spayed ASAP as we don’t know exactly how old she is (we estimate her to be a young adult) or if this may not have been her 1st litter & boy did they really take a role on her poor frame. Being fixed should also help her to put on more weight as well. If she doesn’t get adopted right away & stays with us for longer, then of course, we will take her in for both her rabies shot & spay surgery. Feel free to reach out for more pics & information on our amazing girl. We will be asking a $100 rehoming fee both for her safety & to insure her a good home, as well as to help us cover some of the costs incurred in rescuing her & her litter & to allow us to continue to be able to rescue more kitties in need. Thank you
