One month ago, my male tabby got very sick and was throwing up. He could eat but then a few hours later would throw up again. After a few days, I took him to Pet Emergency Specialty hospital in La Mesa on Jackson. After an examination, the young female vet listed about 6 tests including an ultrasound, blood work, X-rays, IV at $2000 dollars and in my desperation paid it. She said he may need surgery. The next day, another vet called and said all tests were negative they could keep him for more observation bc he had not had a bowel movement but it would be another $1000. He was not throwing up so I went and picked him up immediately thinking that this would never end. Since then, he has been doing better but now noticed he has blood in his stool with no other symptoms. He acting normal and eating good. I need a trust worthy vet or advice on what to do next. I can’t pay this again. Please help!😻
