Bassist that can play Rush!

Progressive Rock/Metal band seeks bassist to complete trio. Covers and originals. We’re Covering a set of classic Rush (Moving Pictures/Permanent Waves/Hemispheres) and a variety set of classic rock: VH, Zep, Kansas, Ozzy/Sabbath. We are still writing our own material. We also love being creative with covers. Sometimes like the record/sometimes not. Tune down 1/2 step for Rush and sometimes down to drop C for originals. Seeking a bassist that can hang with Geddy Lee at minimum. Be familiar with odd tempos, have gear, (multiple basses) transportation and availability to rehearse a few evenings weekly. Vocal abilities are a HUGE plus. Our goals are to be creative and play around San Diego and anywhere else that is sensible. We’re both age 50 and north. We still take this stuff serious because we LOVE to do it, not to be f***ing famous. Between both of us, we’ve played HOB, Belly Up and Music Box. We’re also fine playing those smaller intimate gigs. If it was about the money, we would not still be doing this. We are home recording via Logic X these days and have plans to start recording a follow up to our debut. Influences: Dream Theater, Rush, Mastodon, Soundgarden, Pantera, Odd Tempos, dynamics, harmony and more.
