Looking for a personal care provider for my housemate, for the day shift. He is 44, has physical disabilities, and is legally blind. He can walk and is not bedridden, but since he cannot see, he is a fall risk. The job is fulltime, and pays $15.00/hr. The caregiver works 11 hours a day, 7 days a week, from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. According to the caregiver's preference, he can take 1 day or 2 days off, or none at all each per week. Duties consist of light housekeeping, doing laundry and dishes, vacuuming, mopping, meal prep; and help in showering, grooming, and getting dressed. It also involves taking walks with him and shopping for him. Further, it also includes companionship when the work is complete. If you pass the in-person interview for the day or night shift with me and my housemate, you will be hired immediately by a home care agency after further interview with them, orientation, and a criminal background check. That agency will be the one to pay you for services rendered. No experience is required, but experience in home care or taking care of persons with disability is helpful.
