Description
We have a sweet English Mastiff who, due to NO fault of his own, needs to find a home with someone who understands what comes with an extra large breed dog. We will want to do a home check to ensure he can be properly cared for and loved.
It hurts my heart so bad to rehome our George. He is 3 years old (as of June 1st), neutered and about ~180 lbs. He can appreciate small dogs (he lives with 2 little dogs under 15 lbs and one is his dear buddy) but once he turned 1.5 yo he started to change and does not appreciate other big dogs... that being said, he will need to go to a home where he is either the Only dog, or there is only small dogs that we can have an introduction with prior to rehoming.
***IF YOU HAVE A MEDIUM TO XL BREED DOG ALREADY, PLEASE NOTE, THAT UNFORTUNATELY, WE WILL NOT CONSIDER YOU FOR HIS REHOME***
He walks perfectly on a leash (thank you to Scotch Pines dog training!) He can also walk amazingly well off leash (he is almost 100% staying by my side if a cat or other dog is present as well, although I do keep his pinch collar on for all walks.) He is VERY obedient. He knows sit, stay, down, bed, come etc. We did not teach him to shake because of his size. He does not jump on anything or anyone. He would love to be able to sit on a couch to cuddle! He needs a mild diet without extra treats, we feed him Natural Balance - Limited Ingredient Diet (chicken and brown rice formula, found at DnB or Chewy.com online)
If interested, we would love to answer any additional questions. He truly is an Amazing boy. A small rehoming fee will apply to ensure a great home.
