Hilo Coffee Picker Wanted

Jobs

amauulu, Hilo HI

Description

Aloha! We have coffee that needs picking! The ideal candidate is someone who is reliable and trustworthy and enjoys working outdoors. The pay is $3 per pound of cherry, and most folks can pick at least 5 lbs per hour and up to 8 lbs per hour. So, if you're quick you will make between $15-$18 per hour. We will be happy to provide training. This is a temporary, part-time position. Coffee harvesting season runs from now until around October. Our weekly harvests at this time are about 20 lbs of cherry per week. It's hard to give an exact amount, but last year during peak season we were at about 100 lbs of cherry per week. It could be more this year. The schedule would be flexible, as long as you show up when you say you will show up. You could work in the cooler morning hours, which is what we'd recommend. The people are super friendly and the environment is nice. If things work out this could build into other opportunities or remain a consistent seasonal job. Mahalo for your interest! To set up an interview, please reply to this email.
