Classes 1-5 (9.5 hours total) crammed into one all-day 8-workshop to save you time and effort. Learn basic to advanced wire wrapping skills. Duration: 8 hours (8.5 with a 30 minute lunch) There will be 2-3 short breaks as well. Entry Fee: $350 (all stones included) ***Cost if all five sessions purchased separately = $440. This one-day all-day workshop includes the following skills: Wire Wrapping Class - Session 1/5 “Intro to Wire Wrapping” Wire Wrapping Class – Session 2/5 "Making a Ring" Wire Wrapping Class – Session 3/5 "Jump Rings & Earrings" Wire Wrapping Class – Session 4/5 "Wrapping drilled stones" Wire Wrapping Class – Session 5/5 "Wrapping undrilled stones – Tree of Life" This is a 1:1 event with one student and one teacher, so you will get 100% dedicated support and instruction throughout the day. There will be a 30 minute lunch break with 2-3 other short breaks throughout the day. By the end of the workshop, you will have learned the basic techniques to wire wrap, as well as more advanced techniques. You will bring home with you the following created pieces: *Wire & bead finger ring *Handmade earrings *Basic pendant over a drilled stone *Tree of life pendant wrapped over an undrilled stone. For more advanced students - you may be able to create even more pieces, we are limited only by the length of the class and your comfort level moving through the modules. This series has a value of $440 when each session is booked individually. (All classes may be taken individually, or the entire 5-part series can be booked in advance with a discount.) ***Bring your own tools, or you may use a pair of community tools provided by me. For an additional $15 you can keep the tools and use them for the remainder of the sessions and beyond! Session 1: Intro to wire-wrapping This class is meant for newcomers to wire wrapping, as no prior experience is necessary. Simply bring a desire to learn some basic techniques to begin your wire-wrapping journey. I will provide the tools & wire. Session 2: Skill level: Intermediate (some prior experience recommended) This is planned to be the second installment in a series of 5 classes. (All classes may be taken individually, or the entire 5-part series can be booked in advance with a discount.) ***Bring your own tools, or you may use a pair of community tools provided by me. For an additional $15 you can keep the tools and use them for the remainder of the sessions and beyond! Session 2: Making a Ring This class is suitable for newcomers to wire wrapping, as no prior experience is necessary. Simply bring a desire to learn some basic techniques for making wire and bead finger rings. You will leave the class with a simple fashion ring. I will provide the tools & wire, and beads. Session 3: Skill level: Intermediate (some prior experience recommended) This is the third installment in a series of 5 classes. (All classes may be taken individually, or the entire 5-part series can be booked in advance with a discount.) ***Bring your own tools, or you may use a pair of community tools provided by me. For an additional $15 you can keep the tools and use them for the remainder of the sessions and beyond! Session 3: Jump rings & earrings. This class is intended for those who have taken sessions 1 & 2 – though truly anyone can participate. In this session we will explore creating jump rings, ear hooks, go over beading techniques, and “mirroring” a pair of earrings. You will leave this class with at least one pair of wearable earrings! Tip: A basic knowledge of bending wire with pliers is recommended for this class. Session 4: Skill level: Advanced (prior wire wrapping experience recommended) This is the fourth installment in a series of 5 classes. (All classes may be taken individually, or the entire 5-part series can be booked in advance with a discount.) ***Bring your own tools, or you may use a pair of community tools provided by me. For an additional $15 you can keep the tools and use them for the remainder of the sessions and beyond! Session 4: Wrapping drilled stones This class is meant for those who have already attended sessions 1-3 in the 5 part series, though anyone is welcome to attend. Basic wire-wrapping skills are recommended, though the steps will be broken down so that even those with no experience may be able to follow along. In this session we will focus on creating a bale, as well as basic techniques to capture and wrap a stone or cabochon with at least one drilled hole. You will leave the class with 1-2 basic stone pendants. Session 5: Skill level: Advanced (prior wire wrapping experience highly recommended) This is the fifth installment in a series of 5 classes. (All classes may be taken individually, or the entire 5-part series can be booked in advance with a discount.) ***Bring your own tools, or you may use a pair of community tools provided by me. For an additional $15 you can keep the tools indefinitely! You may also bring your own stone if you prefer. Session 5: Wrapping undrilled stones – “Tree of Life” pattern This class is meant for individuals with prior wire-wrapping experience. The techniques are advanced, and you will learn how to capture an undrilled stone to be made into a Tree of Life pendant. You can bring your own stone cabochon, otherwise stones will be provided for you to select from. You will leave this class with your very own Tree of Life (TOL) pendant!
