Join us for a back-to-school themed Cookie Decorating Class! Learn how to decorate cookies with Royal Icing! • 2.5-hour beginner class • Cookies and icing will be made before you arrive. • We'll color, and bag the icing together so that you can learn about all of that and icing consistencies. (first hour) • We'll decorate together step by step. (last 1.5 hours) • We'll start with the basics of icing consistencies, outlining, flooding, wet-on-wet, wet-on-dry, and several marbling techniques. I'll show you how these techniques can be used for every holiday and occasion! • We'll decorate together. We'll demonstrate each step of the way. • You'll receive a copy of icing and dough recipes. • You'll decorate and take home 6-8 cookies (depending on how much time you take to decorate). On the day of the event: • Join us at 5002 berwyn road college park, md 20744 • You may park on the street or in any of the surrounding lots for free. Please do not park in the school lot. • Feel free to use our complimentary wifi named “studio 444” and using code artat444 (case sensitive) • We will be decorating using food coloring. While an apron will be provided to you, please understand that food coloring and other ingredients used may get on your clothing and will not come out depending on the timeliness in which you treat the stain. Please dress accordingly. • The food coloring that we will be using easily washes off of skin with soap and warm water. • Please reach out to the curators if you have an allergies. We may be able to make accommodations. • All materials will be provided to you. • While we provide one-complimentary drink, you are more than welcome to bring your own libations. • Come ready to relax, have fun and unleash your inner creative! While the name makes it clear that truffles are at the heart of this business, other sweets are always on our radar. Currently we offer truffles and cookies, but other treats are on the way!
