There’s that little town in PA that pulls a rodent out of its slumber to forecast whether there will be 6 more weeks of winter or not. Brilliant really, a completely contrived thing in order to have a good excuse to get together and drink beer. It’s Tommy Leonardesque. Well, the other day my man Barry, The Liver Guy, approached me and come to think of it, he kind resembles Phil, squinty eyed, a little disheveled, maybe a little hairier. It’s like he’s fresh out of hibernation or a coma if you will. The Covid Coma. He says “hey where is everybody! It’s like there’s this world wide pandemic going on or something. Isn’t there any place to meet up so you can have a cold Harpoon with the old Crew?” “Well”, I say “The Eliot’s closed. Crossroads is closed, but they still make Harpoon though.” I don’t know what to tell the guy, but Barry, with some help from his friends John and Scotty, does and next thing you know, just like Punxsutawney, there’s a little get together, a Charity Runners Reunion, for all the old Thursday night run people. You know who you are. DFMC people ALF people, Angel Fund supporters, Eliot and Crossroads patrons. Lovers of Harpoon, lovers of beer, lovers of life. WHO: all mentioned in the above and their little ones (sorry no creatures allowed) (limited to 300 friends) WHAT: nice get together on the waterfront WHERE: Outdoors@Harpoon Brewery, 306 Northern Ave, Boston, MA WHEN: Sunday September 19th 11-2 (rain or shine) - you can stay longer but must get in line with those waiting to get in WHY: Because it’s time.
