Hamptons Pride Tea-Dance Launch Party at Wainscott Green, 3-7 p.m. The inaugural tea-dance celebration to launch Hamptons Pride, Inc. This limited ticket, outdoor event includes beer, wine, cider, soft drinks and light bites with DJ Karin Ward spinning right over the spot deejays spun a generation ago at Club Swamp. RAIN DATE: SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 19. Proof of vaccination will be required at check-in, and complimentary Pride masks will be provided for anyone who wishes to wear them. We will update all ticket holders prior to the event on safety procedures. Ticket sales benefit the 100% volunteer non-profit, the first ever Hamptons organization devoted exclusively to pride. All money raised will stay here for activities and programs for East End LGBTQ+ people and their allies. And we hope that means everyone! Hamptons Pride, Inc. is a non-profit corporation that celebrates and commemorates the LGBTQ+ populations on the East End of Long Island. Established by locals for the benefit of locals, the organization's founding goal is the creation of an historical marker and social area on the footprint of The Swamp (the last and longest-running gay club in the Hamptons) in what is now Wainscott Green, a park in the Town of East Hampton.
