Fall McAuliffe Aide Training (MAT) The purpose and goal of this training is to align the communication and message given to our students accross the diverse range of adults who aid within the classroom. We will cover a wide range of skills, including skills that seek to help you to lead small groups of students, encourage positive student growth, redirect behavior when appropriate, and facilitate a resolution of conflict between students. Each session has portions of time devoted to the learning, application, and practice of this skill set. This is a five week course meeting on Tuesday evenings between September 14- October 12. There are SIX total sessions within the training. The final session will be held in conjunction with New Parent Night (Date and time TBA) Dates: Tuesdays, September 14, September 21, September 28, October 5, October 12 Time: 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Location: Ortega Park Pavillion (feel free to bring a chair or blanket to sit on) Thank you all for your committment to this training.
