September 2021 Functional Forum Meetup - For Practitioners of Functional and Integrative Medicine September 2021 Functional Forum Meetup - For Practitioners of Functional and Integrative MedicinePlease join us for a dinner-talk as we meet in person for our next Functional Forum Meetup. Location: Seasons 52 restaurant (Carneros Room) 160 North Gulph Road, King of Prussia, PA. 19406 TOPIC: A Personalized Approach to Microbiome: Strain Specificity"You cannot know what the organism can do unless you know the full complete name of that organism". Assuming a reasonably healthy balanced diet, it is not what you eat that matters, but what you digest. It is not only what you digest but what you assimilate and eliminate. So, the terrain must be in good working order. Then we must clean-up with systemic enzymes and begin to restore health. Speaker: Jeff Thurston Mr. THURSTON is a microbiologist. He began his career as a virologist for National Drug Company working under government security clearance. Q fever, RMSF, Chikungunya, tularemia and various equine encephalomyelitis viruses were grown and studied. Leaving that chapter far behind, Mr Thurston ended in sales and that led to organic agriculture. It was in 1995 he met his business partner working with B. subtilis, B. chitinosporus and B. laterosporus to improve crop yields. In 2002 together they started Master Supplements. In 2019 Master Supplements acquired US Enzymes. Mr. Thurston believes that our microbial world must be understood. Our internal microbiome and the earth we walk on. To that end, Master Supplements and U.S. Enzymes manufacture the highest quality supplements for intestinal health. Mr. Thurston specializes in the patented delivery and stimulation of the best, compatible probiotics along with digestive enzymes and prebiotics to create an environment conducive to their survival. Since its first meeting, the group has grown exponentially with participants ranging from patients, various types of practitioners, health & wellness enthusiasts, local business owners, and community members who want to learn more. The goal is to keep growing this group to foster growth and awareness of functional medicine in the community and to provide tools and support for current and future practitioners.
