Press release from the Town of Northborough: August 19, 2021 - 11:17am Purple Heart CeremonyTuesday August 31, 2021 11amEllsworth McAfee Park 363 South St Please join town officials and special guests for the unveiling and dedication of the official purple heart signs.  These signs designate Northborough as a Purple Heart Town and recognize the sacrifice of those who are Purple Heart recipients and their families.August is Purple Heart Month and was therefore chosen to recognize the installation of signs along key routes into Northborough. Purple Heart communities are designated by the National Military order of the Purple Heart.  The public is invited to attend this short dedication ceremony which will include the playing of the National Anthem and comments from Purple Heart recipients.
