Crash Victim Identified As Newburgh Woman

By John Gibson, WNIN Aug. 21, 2021 The victim of Wednesday's crash at Morgan Avenue and I-69 has been identified as a Newburgh woman. The Vanderburgh County Coroner's Office says 76-year-old Surya Patel died in the crash. The preliminary cause of death was multiple blunt force trauma. Patel was a passenger in one of the vehicles involved in the wreck. No other injuries were reported. First responders attempted to resuscitate Patel but were unsuccessful. She was pronounced dead at the scene. WNIN is the NPR/PBS affiliate in Evansville, Indiana.
