Press release from the Town of Salem: August 19, 2021 In this order, the Commission approves Pennichuck East Utility's (PEU) transfer to the Town of Salem (Salem) of a portion of its franchise, together with certain PEU assets located in the Town of Windham (Windham), grants Salem's request for permission to provide water service in that limited area of Windham, and grants Salem an exemption from public utility status and from Commission rate regulation for its proposed water service outside its municipal boundaries.
