We are looking to fill multiple positions for a growing tree service and landscaping company in Melbourne, Florida. We need experienced, landscapers and climbers as well as starting general laborers to join our team. As a general laborer you will support other team members by performing manual labor tasks and helping in daily operations on worksites. Keeping the job site clean is an important part of maintaining a safe worksite. As a general laborer you will be responsible for collecting trash, debris and other waste in order to keep the site clean and safe. With some training you will learn how to safely use a variety of landscaping tools and heavy equipment. To be part of the team you will need to be able to lift heavy objects and stand on your feet all day. You will need to concentrate on performing your tasks while following safety rules. Responsibilities: • Clean up worksites from hazardous or obsolete material • Assist Landscapers, arborists or other tradespeople on-site • Handle and transport materials (e.g. cement) and equipment (e.g. Blowers and chainsaws.) • Use power tools and machinery (e.g. bobcat/skid steer) when needed • Follow instructions from supervisors to perform manual labor tasks (e.g. digging, stacking up goods) • Put up warning signs (e.g. signposts, cones) for vehicles and passersby • Help loading/unloading materials and tools onto work vehicles • Report issues with equipment or unsafe conditions Requirements: • Must have a valid drivers license & clean driving record • Able to work in the heat • Ability to stand for long periods of time • Capable of lifting heavy loads of up to 40 pounds • Good hand-eye coordination • Communication and teamwork skills • Commitment to safety rules • Commitment to start on-time Previous experience with landscape installation, tree trimming, using power tools and machinery is a plus. Hours: Monday-Friday 7 AM - 4 PM Some Overtime Available Pay based on experience. Wage listed is for applicants with no previous experience.
