POSITION SUMMARY Hands on Mechanical Assembly & Test of Rotating equipment. Under general supervision, disassembles and re-assembles pump systems including the cleaning of parts for the rebuild process. This is an onsite position for Newburyport, MA. Please send resume to [email protected]. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Performs pump teardown. Transports parts to the rebuild area. Disassembles and evaluates internal parts. Cleans and sorts parts. Replaces faulty components. Re-assembly of pumps. Performs test and troubleshoot assemblies and/or final systems. Monitors run times, operating temperatures, and vibrations to detect any abnormalities in the tool. Maintain and replace equipment, tools, and supplies used during for the service of pumps. Checks power and hand tools for proper operation. Ensure that all Procedures and Instructions are followed during the performance test process. Communicate all issues to Leads/Supervisor on a timely manner. Performs daily general housekeeping of work area as needed. QUALIFICATIONS The ability to lift 35 lbs. unassisted from the floor to waist level. Ability to wear a respirator, hearing protection, gloves, and continually wear eye protection. The ability to perform the identified essential functions of the classification, including the operation of any machinery and/or equipment that is associated with performing the essential functions.
