Join us the weekend of October 15th - 17th 2021 as we celebrate 40 years ago we were in our Senior Year of High School. Remember the Fall of 1981? We were entering our final year of high school. It seems like just yesterday yet so long ago. It is that time to get together and have some fun. 2020 was a tough year and 2021 certainly comes with challenges. The Class Reunion Committee has been working hard to have a weekend of fun and we would love for all of our classmates to join us! Beginning on Friday, we will have a kickoff Meet and Greet Social on the back lawn of the Renaissance with entertainment (Steel Drums by Ms Drumz), corn hole, fire pits, heavy hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar. Dress is casual. Saturday during the day is “on your own” however we are working on several tours and hope to have some discount options available. Saturday evening, we will have cocktail hour from 6-7 followed by a Dinner and Dance (DJ). Dress is Cocktail Evening Attire. And the Grande Finale will be Sunday. Todd Taylor is hosting our final event: Sunday Brunch. He has graciously opened his home to host a catered brunch at The Grice House in Olde Towne Portsmouth. The Grice House was recently featured in the August 2021 Edition of Coastal Virginia Magazine “Best of the Blocks” Edition. We are still finalizing some of the details and will publish everything as we go, however we really wanted to get our sign up process rolling so you can all make your plans! The Renaissance is holding a block of rooms so do not delay. Reserve today. PLEASE make sure to tell them you are with the Western Branch Class of 82 Reunion. We hope to have a great turn out and this is the first time we have done the organizing of the event totally on our own and hope to be able to continue to have gatherings more often. More details on those ideas to come later as well. The total price for the weekend is $90 per person. We have some of our classmates that are sponsoring some of the weekend entertainment and food… so if you would like to help out, please fill out the sponsorship letter. We were really working on keep the cost per ticket reasonable and we want everyone to attend. Your assistance would be appreciated.
