Description

Evening Stable Hand New Moon Ranch Newmoonranchvt.com Richmond, VT New Moon Ranch (NMR) is a Western Pleasure riding school situated above the Huntington River Gorge in Richmond, Vermont. NMR offers individual and group lessons with an emphasis on non-competitive, casual riding at a walk, trot, canter or gallop pace. Guiding Principle New Moon Ranch was founded in 2002 by Lotta Rosen on the principles of connection and contact. NMR focuses on the unison of horse and rider. Our guiding principle is to combine horse, heart & healing. The methods employed by New Moon Ranch have been developed by Lotta over 30 years of riding and teaching. Experienced in both English and Western equitation, it was her belief that she could build on the model of natural horsemanship to realize the New Moon Ranch guiding principle. Our teaching is based on understanding the physiology of an equine and learning horse/rider communication through both body and heart. Our horses are always communicating; Lotta teaches riders to engage in the equine conversation. We are looking for a fun, reliable, kind-hearted individual looking to join a family run western pleasure ranch. Every horse is treated like they are one of our own with the same love and attention to needs as any other in the barn. Our ranch help is kind, caring, and enjoys each horses own personality. We like to take the horses swimming, play music and sometimes dance with them, have conversations and in general enjoy their company.
