PLEASE READ: this is for the reading time slot 4:30 PM-5:00 PM *We do ask that children & adults please stay masked during story time* Join us for an afternoon with Kamau "Maui" Jones writer/Creator, of Everyday with Ella as he reads through his first book Hi, I'm Ella! Everyday With Ella is a conceptualized world that follows Ella and her friends as they navigate: play, their emotions, and their identities through a racial equity lens! About the book Hi, I'm Ella: You will meet Ella, her friends, and her family. You will also learn about the different ways we say hello, have conversations about gender neutral introductions, how to be a good helper and more! SAY HELLO TO ELLA! A bold, expert friend makin', hotdog loving (ketchup only) 4 year-old filled with black girl magic! When Ella and your kiddo head out on an adventure together you can be confident that your little one will learn compassion, empathy, respect, curiosity, and imagination to conversations about race, gender identity, fear, love, and more.
