THE EVENING HOUR is coming home to Harlan! Director Braden King and author Carter Sickels will be present, plus special guests! Strand Releasing, Project No. 9, Secret Engine and Truckstop Media are pleased to present the Harlan, KY Premiere of Braden King’s new feature film, The Evening Hour. This will be an outdoor screening! Doors 6:30, Film at 8:30. Full details will be sent to registered attendees. If raining, we will move indoors to the SKCTC Auditorium. Synopsis: Cole Freeman maintains an uneasy equilibrium in his rural Appalachian mining town, looking after the old and infirm in the community while selling their excess painkillers to local addicts to help make ends meet. But when his old friend Terry Rose returns with plans that threaten to upend the fragile balance Cole has crafted, his world and identity are thrown into disarray. Faced with an impossible set of choices and increasing pressure from all sides, Cole is forced to take action to save the close-knit fabric of family, friendship, land and history thatbinds everything - and everyone - he loves.
