A learning conference for birth professionals in the birth center setting. New Birth Company's Annual Conference will offer birth professionals a full day of educational opportunities with an emphasis on relevant birth center topics. Make connections and take home knowledge to improve care of the perinatal population. Hands on clinical drills will offer participants an opportunity to sharpen emergency response skills. Check in begins at 8:00am, Program begins at 8:30am Breakfast and lunch provided Objectives: The participant will: Identify factors affecting racial health disparities. Describe healthy nutrition strategies for reducing pregnancy complications. Practice clinical skills in clinical emergency scenario drills. Demonstrate emergency preparedness for both internal and external disasters. New Birth Company is approved as a provider of continuing nursing education by the Kansas State Board of Nursing. This course offering is approved for 8.0 contact hours applicable for RN and LPN relicensure. Our facility also provides clinic rooms for pregnancy visits and well woman care, as well as space for classes and community gatherings. We have two birth centers, located in Kansas City, Kansas and Overland Park, Kansas.
