Included in this event are two films that were previously screened virtually at the 21st annual festival (Queens of the Revolution & Dinner in America) and a SECRET SNEAK PEEK preview of a film that will be part of the upcoming festival in November. Admission covers the cost of all three films; come for one or all three. One price for the whole shebang! Specific times for each screening will be made available prior to the event. The film highlights the bravery of people who have fought for their lives and identities for decades. Meandering through the streets of Santa Clara, into the homes of drag performers and on to the stage, the film tells the story of Mejunje through a chorus of voices. This community was violently persecuted but instead of fleeing, they chose to stay and fight for change in the country they love.
