FALMOUTH, MA — The COVID-19 testing clinics at the Barnstable County Fairgrounds will be postponed because of the impending arrival of Tropical Storm Henry, officials with the Barnstable County Department of Health and Environment said Friday.
Free drive-thru testing was originally scheduled for 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., Thursdays and Fridays at the east gate off Route 151. The new official start date is yet to be determined.
County health officials said more information regarding scheduling of these testing clinics will be available at a later date.
Barnstable County also holds weekly vaccine clinics on Thursdays between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., at the Harborside Conference Room at the Barnstable County Complex in Barnstable Village. The clinics are free and open to everyone.
Appointments can be made in advance online, but walk-ins are also welcome.
The Pfizer vaccine is offered to anyone 12 and older, while the Johnson & Johnson vaccine is available for those who are over 18. Identification and insurance are not required for vaccination. Other vaccination locations can be found here.
