MERCER COUNTY, NJ — Hello neighbors! Welcome to our weekly events roundup, where we tell you about what's happening in Mercer County. Here's are some events we think you might enjoy: 8th Annual Latino Festival of Hightstown & East Windsor: Soak in the fun with music, food, and more at the 8th Annual Latino Festival, to be held at Rocky Brook Park, Hightstown from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. The festival hopes to promote knowledge and understanding of the cultural traditions of Latin America and the Caribbean and to looks to strengthening community relations. Trenton Punk Rock Flea Market, CURE Insurance Arena, Trenton: The Trenton Punk Rock Flea Market returns with a live music stage, two beer stations, a DJ, over 150 vendors this week. This Saturday and Sunday head to the Cure Insurance Arena parking lot from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. to enjoy art, live music, food, vintage clothing, and more. Click here for more details. The Nerds and the Moroccan Sheepherders, Mercer County Festival Grounds: Enjoy music by New Jersey's The Nerds with special guests the Moroccan Sheepherders at the Mercer County Fair Grounds on Friday, 6 p.m. onwards. Guests are welcome to bring lawn chairs, blankets, and pack coolers with sealed bottles of water. No glass bottles. Parking fee is $5 and will apply to Festival Grounds events. Gates will open one hour before the event, at 5 p.m. Click here to track any changes in date, time, and venue. Kayak Tour, Mercer County Park Marina: Enjoy a morning of paddling and exploration during a naturalist-led Kayak Tour on Thursday, Aug. 19, and Friday, Aug. 20 from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Life vest, binoculars and kayak rental fee included. Basic kayak instruction will be provided. Participants need to maintain social distancing, masks are optional. This program costs $30 per person for in-Country residents and $35 per person for out-of-County residents. Participants will meet at the Mercer County Park Marina. You can click here to register. Summer Music Series, Ft. Ess Gees, Princeton: Enjoy a fun day outdoors at Palmer Square with shopping, dining, and music. This Saturday, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m., Christopher Bellis, Michael White, and Anthony Cannuli will perform. Palmer Square will be following CDC guidelines, state and local mandates, to ensure the health and safety of the audience and artists.
