Press release from the Horry County Government: August 19, 2021 Horry County Council Chairman Johnny Gardner announced today the names of the members he is appointing to serve on the Horry County redistricting committee. Those members include Horry County Councilmembers Al Allen and Tyler Servant, Horry County Council Chairman Johnny Gardner and School Board Chairman Ken Richardson. The Committee will be leading the decennial census redistricting process on behalf of Horry County. Consultants and other resources will be made available to the committee to include Horry County Register of Deeds Marion Foxworth, legal Counsel, and administrative support.  The redistricting process uses data from the most recent census information to redraw legislative lines in Horry County.
