Multiple Palm Desert Burglaries Lead To Arrest

PALM DESERT, CA — A 46-year-old man accused of multiple Palm Desert burglaries was arrested Friday in Morongo Valley. Jimmy Paul Williams of Palm Springs was arrested Friday at 10 a.m. in the 11000 block of San Jacinto Street on suspicion of multiple burglaries from May 5 to Aug. 9, as well as several outstanding warrants. Palm Desert police identified Williams as the suspect during an investigation into a June 23 burglary in the 42000 block of Idaho Street. Williams was booked into the John Benoit Detention Center in Indio on $35,000 bail. He was scheduled to make his first court appearance as early as Aug. 24 at the Larson Justice Center in Indio. Information was not immediately provided with details of the other burglaries or Williams' outstanding warrants.
