CONCORD, NH — A woman from Grantham was arrested on more drunken driving charges after a chase with a state trooper in Concord which ended with her SUV in a ditch near Hopkinton town line with Warner, according to New Hampshire State Police. Around 2:15 p.m., a state trooper on Interstate 89 north attempted to stop a 2016 Mazda CX-5 for a lane violation in Concord. The vehicle, according to Staff Sgt. Daniel Baldassarre of Troop D, failed to stop and a chase began. "The pursuit continued on I-89 reaching speeds between 80 and 90 mph," he said. "The suspect vehicle took Exit 7 driving on Route 103 driving toward Hopkinton. Shortly thereafter, the pursuit was discontinued near the Warner-Hopkinton town line due to speed and unsafe driving." Baldassarre said the vehicle was being driven by Tracie Anne Plodzik, 54, of Grantham. The state trooper later found her SUV crashed in a ditch on Route 103, according to a report. Plodzik was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated-subsequent, aggravated driving while intoxicated, and disobeying an officer charges as well as a lane control violation. She was released on personal recognizance and is due in Concord District Court for arraignment on Sept. 10.
