Students from area towns like Lemont, Homer Glen, Lockport and Romeoville are celebrating accomplishments throughout the semester, including making Dean's List and earning Scholastic Honor Roll recognitions. Submitted by Joann Napolitano Dominic Napolitano of Romeoville and a Joliet Catholic Academy alumni, earned Dean's List at Illinois State University. The following information was provided by Merit Pages News: Lemont's Nash Earns Spot on WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll at UW-Whitewater Drew Nash, from Lemont, and member of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater wrestling team, is one of 372 Warhawk student-athletes who were named to the 2020-21 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Honor Roll. Nash, a freshman at UW-Whitewater in 2021, is majoring in general business. The Warhawks' 12 women's teams had 183 honorees, while 189 student-athletes from the 10 men's teams garnered Scholastic Honor Roll accolades. The Honor Roll is part of the "WIAC Scholar-Athlete Recognition Program." To be eligible for the list, student-athletes must have carried a 3.0 grade point average on a 4.0 scale. More than 50 percent of the WIAC's student-athletes achieved Honor Roll status. Homer Glen's Olinger Earns Spot on WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll at UW-Whitewater, Named Scholastic All-America for UW-Whitewater Gymnastics Vanessa Olinger, from Homer Glen, graduate of Lockport Township High School and member of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater gymnastics team, is one of 372 Warhawk student-athletes who were named to the 2020-21 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Honor Roll. Olinger was also one of 14 Warhawks who were recognized as Scholastic All-America by the Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association for the 2020-21 season. Olinger, a senior at UW-Whitewater in 2021, is majoring in communication. The Warhawks' 12 women's teams had 183 honorees, while 189 student-athletes from the 10 men's teams garnered Scholastic Honor Roll accolades. The Honor Roll is part of the "WIAC Scholar-Athlete Recognition Program". To be eligible for the list, student-athletes must have carried a 3.0 grade point average on a 4.0 scale.
