Savory Spice Shop, (www.savoryspiceshop.com), offers over 400 different spices, herbs, hand-crafted seasonings, extracts, sauces and related merchandise. We grind and blend our products in small quantities on a weekly basis and use only the highest quality ingredients. Unlike the spice aisle at the grocery store, customers have the opportunity wander our shops, smelling and tasting, and we hand package all of our products in the quantities that match their needs. Position Summary: Giving excellent service to customers on the sales floor while finding their spice needs.Supporting the Store Manager with running the location on their days off.Opening and Closing the store including counting money.Helping to clean and maintain the store.Working on projects given to you by the Store Manager.Weighing out and bagging/bottling spices for customers and gift packs. Required Skills/Experiences: Minimum of 2 years retail experience and some management and/or key holder experience.Food experience helpful, but not necessary.Love of food or cooking is a MUST!Engaging retail floor personality a must.General computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office or equivalent.Positive attitude and good communication skills.Some merchandising skills helpful.Cash register skills and cash handling necessary.Must be willing to work weekends and holidays.
