Northfield Public Schools Announce Mask Policy

NORTHFIELD, MN — Northfield Public Schools will require people age two and older to wear masks while inside district buildings, officials announced Monday. Masks are not required for people "actively eating or drinking," according to the district's policy. There are also some exceptions for student-athletes. The Minnesota Department of Education recommends that all students, teachers, staff, and visitors in school buildings wear masks indoors regardless of vaccination status. However, the department is not mandating that schools require masks for this upcoming school year.
