DOWNERS GROVE, IL — Katie Kalousek, owner of Ingram's Busy Bee Bakery, needs to clear out the bakery space within 58 days – and is encouraging anyone serious about investing in the property to contact her.
"I am reaching out to the community, to see if anyone is interested in purchasing this fully equipped wonderful community bakery," Kalousek wrote in a statement posted to a GoFundMe page for her family on Thursday. "Ingram's Busy Bee Bakery has been operating for over 50 years and it would be my utmost wish to keep this legacy alive and running."
Kalousek and her husband, Chuck, owned and operated the bakery for over two decades, she wrote on the GoFundMe page, until Chuck died of COVID-19 in June after battling virus complications for three months.

Though Kalousek said she and Chuck had hoped to find a path to re-opening, she is now encouraging anyone "seriously interested in a real investment/purchase opportunity" to contact her via email, though her email address is redacted on the GoFundMe page.
"Our family has been honored to be able to serve you for the past 22 years," Kalousek said. "My heart is broken and I want you to know that there will always be a very large piece of my heart left inside 5126 Main Street, forever."
