3 Darien Residents Accused Of Domestic Battery

DARIEN, IL – Darien police arrested three people on domestic battery charges last week. Here is information from the reports: Kerolos Tawfeek, 34, and Irin Girgis, 34, of Darien, were arrested shortly after noon Aug. 9 in the 8500 block of Evergreen Lane on two counts of domestic battery. They were taken to the DuPage County Jail.Christopher Johnson, 36, of Darien, was arrested about 4:30 p.m. Aug. 11 in the 7500 block of Farmingdale Drive on two counts of domestic battery and interfering with the reporting of domestic violence. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail. Police report information is provided by local police departments. Charges are not evidence of guilt. They are a record of police actions on a given day, and persons charged with a crime are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
