BEDFORD, OH — A new outpatient infusion center has opened at University Hospitals Bedford Medical Center.
The center treats several conditions, including gastrointestinal conditions, joint and immune disorders, infectious diseases, neurological disorders and replacement therapies, like hydration and electrolytes.
Patients will be able to receive non-chemo infusion services, like antibiotics, without hospital admission or a trip to the ER, hospital system officials said.
The following conditions and treatments will be available through the center:
Gastrointestinal: Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Crohn's disease, Ulcerative Colitis, Hyperemesis, dehydration, electrolyte replacementImmune disorders: Asthma, immune deficiency, and LupusMusculoskeletal: Osteoporosis and rheumatoid arthritisNeurological: Migraines and Multiple SclerosisMaternal/women's healthIron replacementThe outpatient infusion center will be open Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The facility is located at 88 Center Road, Suite 210.
