Press release from the City of Alameda: August 18, 2021 Posey and Webster Tubes (State Route 61) Overnight Closures For Maintenance Work August 19 and 20, 2021 ALAMEDA COUNTY — Caltrans has scheduled an overnight closure of the State Route 61 Posey Tube on August 19 and the SR-61 Webster Tube on August 20, 2021. The purpose of the closures is to accommodate maintenance work. Work will be postponed if it rains. Changeable message and directional signs will be in place to assist motorists traveling in the area. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) will be at the sites during the closures. Please drive with caution. Slow for the Cone Zone and Be Work Zone Alert.
