General Maintenance / Restaurant Facilities Aide We are looking for a thorough Maintenance / Facilities Aide to undertake the responsibility of preserving the good condition and functionality of our restaurant and banquet halls You will perform maintenance tasks of great variety such as light repairs, painting, plumbing, light landscaping etc. As well as aiding our banquet team with set and break down of tables, tents and buffets for large events. An ideal candidate would be thorough, professional and have great attention to detail; while also being able to work independently or as part of a team The main goal of this position is to maintain the buildings and common areas in the best possible condition and aide banquet team so help us put on great events. Responsibilities -Daily Survey of building keep running list of maintenance tasks. ie. replace light bulbs, patch drywall paint doors, cleaning of high traffic items such as light switches and doors. -Assist in the setup of banquets, weddings and events. Being sure that all tables, lights, AV equipment, kitchen and bar areas are in good working order. -Maintain indoor common areas, restrooms and storage areas. -Inspect refrigeration, hvac and other mechanically systems and schedule repairs if needed. -Perform manual repairs when necessary ie fix doors, patch and paint drywall, cracked grout, caulking etc. -Conduct general upkeep procedures (e.g. landscaping) and other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry) Necessary Skills Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing and carpentry Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work
