Overview of Key Duties and Responsibilities: This position provides technical expertise for facilities repair and maintenance. This position also assists with remodels and installations, prioritizes maintenance work and provides support services such as transporting Head Start meals, materials/furnishings, and/or other items to Head Start sites. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: • High school diploma or GED required • Ability to pass lifting and carry test of 50 lbs. (post offer, pre-employment) • Demonstrated knowledge, skills, and experience in repair and maintenance of equipment, furniture, fixtures, facilities, and grounds • Knowledge of construction and facility maintenance safety • Knowledge of basic operations, tools and terms used in building maintenance work • Head Start parent or past parent preferred • Daily standing, bending, twisting, kneeling, and stooping while executing various tasks • Prior to date of hire and throughout employment, certification of the following are required: o Valid driver’s license o Proof of current auto insurance o Current enrollment in the OR Child Care Division-Criminal History Registry o Within 60 days of hire, Pediatric CPR/First Aid certification is required o COVID-19 vaccine • Above certifications must be kept current to remain employed • Within one year of hire, certification in IPM (Integrated Pest Management) and annually thereafter To apply, please visit our Website at www.neighborimpact.org/jobs
