Building Maintenance works closely with the Manager to care for the physical building and common areas. Requirements include, but are not limited to:
Personable, patient, detail oriented and thorough
Team Player, at ease both with following direction and showing self initiative
Professional communication skills (phone, interpersonal, written, verbal, etc.)
Professional customer service skills
Interpretation and completion of verbal and/or written instructions at a proficient level
Knowledge of general maintenance requirements (documentation, safety, required reporting, regulations, etc.)
Time management and time critical prioritization skills
Monitoring of contractors and vendors
Troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining various building systems
Basic mechanical, electrical and plumbing skill knowledge
Performing minor repairs, including plumbing, painting and wallboard repairs
Ability to maintain inventory records, incident and maintenance logs
Performing weekly and annual inspections of grounds, parking lot, garage storage areas, safety points,
courtyards and building exterior, and other common areas
Assisting with the removal of snow and ice
Any other duties as assigned or requested of the maintenance department
Occasional on-call emergency response
Qualifications:
- High School degree
-Associate, Certification or Bachelors degree or desirable
- 2 Years in related field
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to do the following:
- The employee is frequently required to climb stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- The employee may frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, high places, and outside weather conditions.
- Dress appropriately for the performance of duties in work attire commonly accepted. Some uniform provided.e
