FACILITY MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN / Part-time - IMMEDIATE OPENING at 2 Properties ** Tower View Senior Apartments (25 Units),Tower City, PA ** Tremont Station Senior Apartments (24 Units), Tremont, PA ** 20 HOURS WEEKLY ** FLEXIBLE WORK SCHEDULE -- SELECT EITHER 4 days/5 hours daily OR work 2 Flexible Days /10 hours daily ** Will qualify for Part-time Benefits based on the schedule you select including: 401k, some holidays if fall on your work day, paid days off, weekly pay check! The Facility Maintenance Technician is responsible for indoor and outdoor maintenance at Tower View Senior Apartments (25 units) and Tremont Station Senior Apartments (24 units). Candidates must be skilled in drywall repair, painting, light plumbing, basic electrical, basic carpentry, cleaning preferred. Position is also responsible for grounds maintenance and snow removal. Must be able to adapt to changing work priorities. Must be self-motivated and enjoy working independently as well as on a team. Strong customer service skills required and experience working with seniors is a plus. Background check and drug screen conducted. Requirements SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES WILL HAVE (required skills): • 2 + years prior maintenance skills – routine cleaning, drywall repair, painting, light plumbing, basic electrical, and general maintenance repair skills; HVAC helpful or will train. • Prior apartment or home repair maintenance skills helpful. • Willingness to work in all types of temperatures indoors/outdoors for extended periods of time. • Minimum HS/GED required. • Must be able to lift a maximum of 50-100 lbs. on occasion with frequent lifting carrying up to 50 lbs. • Able to work occasional Overtime if needed or when assigned. CANDIDATES SKILLS WILL ALSO INCLUDE: • Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills. • Reliable, dependable with excellent attendance. • Ability to adapt to changing situations on a daily basis. • Demonstrate strong customer service skills to effectively assist residents, and problem-solve matters that arise. • Like to be busy; organized; take pride in your work. • Like a variety of projects – indoors and outdoors. • Must be a self-starter, motivated, able to work independently. • Takes pride in work and successfully completing projects for residents. • Friendly; positive attitude; able to work collaboratively with contractors, vendors, residents and team members.
