Hourly Wage: $ 27-hour starting or DOE.
Proficient in air brake, hydraulic and electrical systems.
Duties include:
*Maintenance and repair of 24 commercial trucks and varied loaders, forklifts & occasionally a concrete batch plant.
*Meet all quality and safety standards.
*Keeps the shop orderly and as clean as possible.
Job Requirements:
*Proficient in air brake, hydraulic and electrical systems, emissions controls systems, and timing systems.
*Understand or willing to learn all D.O.T. rules and regulations as related to drivers/equipment in the Tahoe-Truckee region and within California and Nevada states.
*Collaborate with other mechanics to get repairs done timely.
*Will have own tools.
*Will have a clean DMV Class B license to conduct test drives of trucks. CDL Class A preferred. If not yet commercially licensed, willing to do so.
*Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs.
*Must pass D.O.T. drug test.
*Be a team player.
Qualifications:
*Minimum 1 years’ experience as diesel mechanic OR
*Completion of vocational training in Diesel Mechanics or equivalent experience.
