Description

Hello, I'm a multi-instrumentalist looking to see if anyone out there would be interested in working on a post-metal/post-rock sort of project. Ideally, I'd find a band that is already somewhat formed and I could slip right in. I can play guitar (I play mainly a baritone guitar), bass, drums, and I can sing (tenor) as well. I'm average to slightly above-average on these instruments depending on the instrument, but I'm not a super-technical player on any of them, with drums being my weakest. (Although I can play in-the-pocket, mid-to-slow tempo beats with a syncopated feel and dynamics on the drums. Just don't expect fancy fills or double-bass pedal action. The drummer from Isis is a big influence here.) My main goal is to play in semi-minimalist, semi-droney/shoegazey band, but also with heavy sections and a dynamic range from quiet and simple to loud and powerful. Isis is perhaps my most favorite band of all-time, with their album Panopticon being pretty much the perfect album in my estimation. Other influences of mine in this vein include: Cult of Luna, Tool, Russian Circles, Pelican, Callisto, Capricorns, and many, many more. I must also include a band like Deftones as a model also for the mix of heaviness and dreaminess yet which are also fairly tightly composed as well...at least until the last couple of albums IMHO, lol. Anyway, I could go on, but if you are interested in exploring this further, please don't hesitate to contact me. Thanks.
