* All Successful New Hires Before August 30th will be OFF for Labor Week (full time and part time employees), PAID. Getaway builds tiny houses, places them in the middle of nature, and rents them out by the night to people looking to disconnect and recharge. The Facilities Manager will help oversee all aspects of the Getaway operation, most specifically facilities maintenance. With a high level focus on our tiny houses, the land they live on and the guests that rent them, this position is a little bit of everything. To be the right fit, you should be a handy-person that smile a lot, hustles always and loves working on and managing a team. You should also be a bit of a perfectionist. We’re looking for a hospitality-minded soul with an eye for small details and a big picture perspective. The primary responsibilities of this position are anticipated to include: Assisting our General Manager with running every piece of the operation Drive KPIs - NPS score, Part time labor costs, Secret Audit scores Overseeing and constantly improving the preventative maintenance program Managing facilities assistant(s) Ensure cabin glitches are handled immediately, whether by dispatching assistant, contractor, or addressing it yourself Managing outpost maintenance costs including: mowing, snow plowing, shoveling, clearing trails, removing dead trees, etc. Managing cabin turnovers: ensuring every cabin is perfectly staged for every guest, including deep cleaning interiors, making beds, changing toilet cartridges, arranging welcome items and provisions, cleaning and staging exterior areas (e.g. fire pit), etc. Hiring and training new members of the field staff Scheduling and overseeing hours/performance of field staff, inspecting cabins frequently Maintaining par stock of guest supplies, cleaning supplies, linen and uniform Providing excellent customer service: anticipating potential guest issues and addressing them in advance whenever possible and responding to guest customer service issues as requested, including during nights and weekends Acting as Manager on Duty as needed Requirements: Experience leading facilities maintenance Understanding of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and other crafts HVAC knowledge is a plus Proven ability to self-manage Problem solving mindset Naturally friendly and hospitable Excels in a team environment Schedule: Flexible hours may include weekends, nights, short shifts and long shifts On call availability, in addition to normal hours Location and transportation: It is expected that you have your own transportation, as you may occasionally be required to drive to fulfill your role.
