Rehoming a beautiful pit mix

Description

We adopted Tuff from DCHS in Madison in June having no prior experience with large dogs. He is 2 years old, he is non aggressive towards humans, in fact he enjoys people a lot. Assertive towards other dogs: won't take crap, won't let dogs charge at you but he plays well and with enthusiasm. He has no food aggression towards humans, may snap at a dog trying to get into his bowl. He is beautiful, has no anxiety and can be left at home for a few hours with no issues. The reason we need to rehome him is he is too large to be around our kid (5 year old). They don't understand each other's boundaries and accidents happen - nothing big so far, and we believe it's mostly our kids fault but the stress is huge and we don't want the situation to escalate. We considered driving him back to Madison but he does not travel very well in the car and we thought this area might be more friendly towards big pit mix breeds. He has a clean bill of health, has been neutered recently, is updated on all the shots. Will come with at least a few days of food, some treats and toys, his bed and some heart worm and tick preventatives. Small rehoming fee applies. We have a pretty open schedule if you would like to come and meet the doggo. If you have any questions please reach out to me. Thank you for reading.
