Aloha! Having over 7 years of experience working with children of all ages has prepared me to be the best I can be when guiding children, whether it be date night babysitting, working in child care facilities, or nannying. I started babysitting in my teenage years and this pushed me to volunteer in my elementary school my senior year of high school, where I worked with the kindergarteners and absolutely loved it. Since then, I have nannied full-time for a few different families where I did school pick up, helped with homework, and sometimes made dinner or did housework until their parents came home from work. I also worked in a Waldorf inspired Nature Preschool for 3 years and this was one of my most fond experiences working with kids. Getting kids out in nature while learning and teaching them about our environment is one of my greatest passions. It makes me so happy to see our next generation spending time outdoors and off of screens. I have also since become a reiki master. This training I begun when I was 19 and finished when I was 22, although my learning journey when it comes to energy healing is never ending and always expanding. I am looking for work that allows me to utilize the skills and knowledge I have acquired in working with children and energy healing. Currently I live on North Shore but I am open to work in other areas of the island as well and am so excited to get connected with some like minded families in need of care. Since I moved to Kaua’i I have worked in a Montessori preschool and it’s been so much fun learning about that philosophy of teaching. I am intrigued and interested by both Montessori and Waldorf styles of learning and would love to do work that incorporates aspects from both in teaching children.
