90 minutes of exploration, learning, and fun with museum educators and scientists!
Join Museum educators Alberto Lopez and Amy Hester and Museum scientist Dr. Matt Smith as he leads you on an adventure to learn more about Florida mushrooms!
We will have specimens from our mycology collection for you to observe. There will also be a hike to discover more about these cool organisms and their habitat preferences!
The event is $7/person and we require a paid adult to accompany their child/children. That fee will cover the learning, the fun, and your hands-on activity!
We do recommend masks for museum activities and will practice social distancing. We also recommend comfy shoes, sunscreen, a hat, a reusable water bottle, and bug spray.
While it won't be part of the program, we suggest you bring a picnic so you can continue enjoying the park when we finish at 11:00am.
Audience: Best suited for children in grades K-6.
General Program Summary: Learn about Florida wildlife by exploring museum collections, observing live organisms as we hike along trails and participate in socially distanced activities about the plants and animals found in our parks!

- A special hike and personalized tour of the creatures that live in local parks
Masks are expected and social distancing guidelines will be implemented for the program.
