We will be heading down to Baltimore with our lovely Sagamore Rep Heather Shapiro to learn about the history & spirit of Sagamore Rye! We will be sending down a group of 12 people to visit the Sagamore Farm, once a grounds for breeding and training racings horses to now being utilized to grow the grains used in Sagamore Rye products. After our tour of the grounds we will have a lunch break inside the farmhouse, then we will travel to Baltimore to visit the distillery where Sagamore Rye is produced, be able to ask questions and lastly before we leave have time to visit the gift shop to pick up some bottles, shirts, you name it. This trip rules, theres horses and tractors and whiskey. Don't miss it! 12 PERSON LIMIT. The usual, all seats reserved for active members of USBG, all remaining slots will be awarded first come first serve for non members. WE WILL BE LEAVING AT 8AM. Do not be late. It is a 2 hour drive, pack your breakfast bring a pillow whatever you need, but in order for us to have ample time for the full tour and still be able to have you back in Philly by dinner, it is vital we leave on time for this. We will depart from the Reading Terminal Market with the intent to arrive at 10am and leave the distillery at 3:30pm. As always any questions reach out to myself (Josa) or Heather directly.
